| Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Moderation |
(Sunan Ibn Majah, Book 12, Hadith 2227)
| It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “O people, fear Allah and be moderate in seeking a living, for no soul will die until it has received all its provision, even if it is slow in coming. So fear Allah and be moderate in seeking provision; take that which is permissible and leave that which is forbidden. “ (Sunan Ibn Majah, Book 12, Hadith 2227) Sometimes we want what is in excess of our needs. Many want a bigger house, a better job, more money but in reality what is in our rizq is provided for us and we are living within our means, Alhamdulillah. Don’t prioritise this world over the next. Your deeds, your worship of Allah and what you leave behind will make you richer than you can imagine on the Day of Judgement. Love & Duas The HOTD Team |
